The biggest union of registered nurses in the U.S. — National Nurses United — describes nurse burnout as “physical, mental and emotional exhaustion.” Nurse burnout leads to job dissatisfaction and affects patient outcomes.

How the foundation helps

Mia’s Miracles hopes to provide a moment of reprieve for caregivers during crises. Individuals during times of stress and trauma feel overwhelmed and exhausted. Mia’s Serenity Space has four locations and one Serenity Cart within Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, two Serenity Carts at Holtz Children’s Hospital and one at Quantum House in Jupiter, Fl. More Serenity Spaces are in the works.

All our rooms are filled with joy, positivity and relaxation.

The impact of relaxation strategies will allow caregivers and nurses to destress, resulting in a calmer disposition which can lead to a decrease in errors and better care for their families!
